About the Project
Funded by a National Lottery Heritage Fund grant (Aug 2023–Mar 2025), our project recorded 27 oral histories from minority ethnic families in Manchester, focusing on autism heritage.
We hosted 10 exhibitions.
• 4 workshops,
• 6 school outreaches, and
• infographics, and 200 booklets.
Activities like African games and storytelling engaged 3,000+ participants (50% BME, 30% asylum seekers/refugees), reducing stigma and preserving at-risk heritage.

With 75 diverse volunteers, we combat stigma, promote human rights, and reduce isolation. In 2022, we supported 1,981 families, offering respite, cultural translation, and community events to improve wellbeing.
